Do you ever feel "too busy" to meditate? How do you deal with that?

NEBULABUFF — 7 years ago — permalinkThere have been many times over the years when I was simply too busy to meditate for many various reasons. I suppose that a few folks would suggest trying to make up the lost session(s) in following days. As for me, I simply would recognize the fact of missing a session (or two or. . .) and without berating or beating myself up, would continue with my normal routine and time frame at first opportunity. If you don't immediately forgive yourself, you turn meditation into a chore rather than a time of quiet awareness.
Remember those lines from that 'Sanskrit Proverb' I posted a couple of days ago:
"For yesterday is but a dream;
and tomorrow only a vision.
But today, well lived
makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness,
and tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day."
Hang in there!
