There's a Zen saying that I like for this:
"You should meditate for 10 minutes a day. If you are too busy to meditate for 10 minutes a day, then you should meditate for an hour a day."

I break my meditation time down into two smaller chunks of time.  Instead of 30 minutes, I can find 15 minutes twice in a day.

     There have been many times over the years when I was simply too busy to meditate for many various reasons.  I suppose that a few folks would suggest trying to make up the lost session(s) in following days.  As for me, I simply would recognize the fact of missing a session (or two or. . .) and without berating or beating myself up, would continue with my normal routine and time frame at first opportunity.  If you don't immediately forgive yourself, you turn meditation into a chore rather than a time of quiet awareness.
     Remember those lines from that 'Sanskrit Proverb' I posted a couple of days ago:
                                             "For yesterday is but a dream;
                                              and tomorrow only a vision.
                                              But today, well lived
                                              makes every yesterday
                                              a dream of happiness,
                                              and tomorrow a vision of hope.
                                              Look well, therefore, to this day."
Hang in there!
